small business saturday // laces holiday roundup.
This is the craziest shopping weekend of the year. We all know it. I tend to avoid the crowds (social anxiety) and do all my shopping online :))
This year, I really wanted to do my best to support small business and makers that I love. As a small business owner myself, I find supporting small shops especially important.
Here are a few favorite shops + our annual LACES HOLIDAY ROUNDUP. GO GET ITTTT.
These jewels are so so lovely and even better, they're handmade with love in Idaho by the sweetest shop owner. She's doing a weekend-long sale for Black Friday + Small biz Saturday. Use code "hellyeah" at checkout to get 40% off!!
I got two pairs recently and just ordered another today :))
I took a nena and co convertible day-bag with me on my Italy trip and it was one of the best shopping decisions I've made. It was perfect as a carry-on, and then I used it all over Italy for our day-trips // days on the coast. I can't say enough good things about these ladies, and even better, everything is sustainably handmade by a group of 60 seamstresses in Guatemala.
Julia + Dusty Wheeler have SUCH a gorgeous curation of goods in their online shop. Their pieces are thoughtfully collected and full of SO many great gift ideas. I'm especially in love with these stockings! AND we have three of these custom wool ponchos up at Bear Bitch Manor. Not to mention, about 1 million of their mexican blankets that I own, which are seriously the most versatile gift you could give!
They're doing buy one, get one on their blankets all weekend long!
I'm pretty much a minimalist when it comes to jewels these days, but besides my recent obsession with earrings, I can't ever seem to get enough turquoise + super simple necklaces.
I was recently gifted a foxycat necklace, and I haven't taken it off. Her pieces are fun/edgy and would make anyone on your list a fan too.
Krista's jewels/shop are a forever favorite of mine.
Her access to deadstock vintage turquoise pieces, and her family's history/closeness to Native American culture make her items a special purchase in the world of gems.
Clean lines and gorgeous craftsmanship//details are the main reason I own about 5-7 Walter and George pieces.
Seriously, it's like a Walter and George nesting doll situation in my purses (which are alter from Melissa). Order a custom laptop case for your hard-working hustler, or slap a fanny clutch on one of your traveling besties. Can't go wrong here, folks.
Shamless plug, inserted here. COME AND STAY at The BBM. We'd love to have you buy a getaway for your sweetie :)) or maybe a group of your girlfriends.
THIS BACKPACK THO. Megan is an old friend from my former life in Bend, OR :)
She recently started this leather endeavor, and I'm so blown away by her gift for this. This backpack has been a lifesaver for someone who seems to think she's mary poppins. It's so pretty and goes with everything! Can't wait to see what Megan does next-keep up with her IG as she's a brand new baby business and is still getting her site setup!
Her tumbleweed backpack (same one I'm wearing) would be such a rad holiday gift!
